In order to enjoy your work, your employer has a significant role to play. Your employer has to create to create a cooperative, fun, caring, collaborative, innovative environment where people can grow. Without these conditions, it will be difficult for you to enjoy your work.

Ask questions that will help you better understand your work. If you think you are not doing well, take a break. Taking a break will help you to re-focus on your work.
Focus on your growth. You have to grow to enjoy your work. If you are not growing, if you are not adding values to your life, you are just wasting your time. You are just putting in time. To grow at work, you have to strategically choose assignments that will stretch you, not same old same old.
Help others at work. Whether you work alone or not, help your colleagues. If you help your colleagues, they will help you when you run into trouble. They will share vital information with you.
Control yourself. You work with different personalities at work. If you want to enjoy working with them, you must first understand their working styles. Find productive ways to connect with people. If you can’t connect with the people you work with, you cannot work with them. If you are not close to the people you work with, the more difficult it is for you to relate to them.
