You don’t have to be a genius to be the best at work. But with intense focus and dedication to your work, you can be the best at what you do. Employers are looking for the best. If you want to be the at work, put the following strategies into practice:
Align your interests with that of the organization. Aligning your interests with that of the organization allow you to stay focus, work hard to achieve your goals.
Follow the company’s practices. If you want to be the best at work, follow your company’s practices, but question what is not right. You should question the company’s behavior when things are against your values and beliefs. You should do it with respect and dignity. Don’t yell at your manager on the hall way. If you want to discuss anything with your boss or manager, talk to your manager when he or she is not busy. If you do it when he or she is busy, you won’t get the response you are looking for.
Follow your job description. If you know what you are doing, you will take responsibility and ownership of your work. Question what is not in your job description, and find out why it is not included. Respectfully, speak out when things are not working well for you. Seek help from your supervisor. If you don’t know what you are doing, ask for help. It is okay to ask for help. It doesn’t make you look stupid; it makes you look smart.
Finally, you can be the best if you focus on your work, if you follow your job description, if you align your interests with that of the company, and if you follow the company’s practices.
