That is exactly what God said in Hebrew 13:2, “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertain angels.” If you want to meet God, do not ignore strangers. Take care of everybody.
No matter how poor, no matter how rich, no matter how tall, no matter how short, no matter how thin, no matter how fat, no life is worthless. When you see a stranger on the street, what do you do? When you see a poor person on the street, what do you do? When you see a child crying for help, what do you do? When you see an elderly person in a difficult situation, what do you do?
We want to see God, but we don’t want to see poor people. We don’t want to see homeless people. We don’t want to see people who don’t look like us. Until we learn how to entertain strangers, we will continue to live in isolation.
But you can change that. You can choose your own attitude. You can choose to help people. You can choose to ignore people. You can choose to focus on people’s weaknesses. Or you can choose to focus on people’s strengths. You can focus on lifting people up. Or you can focus on putting people down. Remember, your life will be much better if you focus on lifting people up. Your life will be much better if you focus on helping strangers.
When you help other people, you are helping yourself. When you help other people, you are helping God. You are here on this earth to serve people. If you want God to serve you, you must first serve God’s children.
