This Is What Happens When You Have Yourself

If you want to protect your inner world, you must have yourself. What does it really mean to have yourself? Do you have yourself?

Life is full of ups and downs. You can’t face what life has in store for you if you don’t have yourself. You must be your real you. You must protect yourself from poisonous people. You must live your own life. And most important, you must have yourself.

“To live is to have yourself.”

When you have yourself, you have nothing to lose. You have everything to gain in life. You do your own thing. No one is directing your life but you. You know when to relax and reconnect with your inner self. You are your own director. You are not doing something because people asked you to do it. You do something because you want to do it. You know when to say enough is enough.

“There is less to lose when you have yourself.”

John Amodeo, PhD

On the contrary, if you don’t have yourself, people will always tell you how to run your own life. People will be your director. They will tell you what to do. They will tell you what not to do. According to John Amodeo, “There is less to lose when you have yourself.” When you have yourself, you don’t lose anything; you gain everything.

To live is to be able to have yourself.

We are no strangers to tough times. When you are going through hard times, remember that you are not alone. Millions of people around the world are going through the same thing.

“Tough times never last, but tough people do.”

Robert H. Schuller

If you pay attention to hard times, they have something to tell you: to be independent.

Hard times are not really hard times. They are learning times, searching times, growing times, discovery times, decision times. Hard times are here to reveal your ‘inner power’ to you. Listen to learn from it and you will grow stronger and wiser.
