What separates high achievers from others is hard work. As Sam Ewing once said, “Hard work sportlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don’t turn up at all.” You can’t succeed without hard work. The question is, “Are you giving your best?”
Remember that to get the best, you must give the best. And you can’t give the best if you don’t know what you are good at. To know what you are good at, you must assess yourself. You must develop the ability to assess yourself. You must find out what you are not good at, what you are really good at, and you must turn your weaknesses into your power.
Whatever you are doing right now, no matter how difficult, do not give up. As Thomas Muller once remarked, “All things are difficult before they are easy.” If what you are doing right now is not going according to your plan, keep doing it. It will get better. You will win if you don’t give up. Helen Rowland said, “You will never win if you never begin.” You have what it takes to change your life. Don’t talk yourself out of it. Be hopeful. Thomas Fuller said, “Great hopes make great men.” Be happy. Keep pursuing your dreams. That is why you are here.
